Congressional Redistricting

Thanks to Ballot Access News for this post.

A State-by-State look at where all 50 states are in the congressional redistricting process, and how finished plans are likely to affect the partisan balance of their delegations.

One must choose a category, Republican controlled states, Democratic controlled states, states in which party control is split, or states with a nonpartisan redistricting commission. The chart defaults to the Republican controlled states.

In New York, we still have not decided how to do this. The Governor is threatening a veto to anything so it goes to a impartial judge. We want a nonpartisan commission which includes independents. There is a court case to count prisoners from where they lived before their arrest and not the location of the prison. Another hitch in the process.
