NATO Fighter Jets Shoot Down Drone in Lithuanian

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda Announced that NATO Fighter Jjets Shot Down a Drone in Lithuanian Airspace, at a time when the Alliance is Increasingly onEedge over Spillover from the Russia-UkraineWwar.

Nauseda didn't Identify Who the Drone belonged to, but was quick to Cast the Blame on Russia. The Lithuanian Defense Ministry Specifically thanked Italian Pilots for their "swift and responsible response" in Neutralizing the Threat.

"A drone that just entered Lithuanian airspace was destroyed by NATO fighter jets. I thank Allied personnel for their swift response," Nauseda said in a Post on X.

"With Russia intensifying its aggression against Ukraine, such readiness is vital for our region. Together with our NATO Allies, Lithuania will defend its airspace," He added.

The Head of Lithuania's National Crisis Management Center, Vilmantas Vitkauskas, Confirmed on LRT Radio that the Drone had Crossed into Lithuanian Territory from Belarus.
