COP27 3 Key Strategies For 2023

Coming out of COP27 in Egypt, Three key Strategies will be pivotal to winning more victories in 2023:

Standing up against the Global Oil and Gas industry’s Propaganda and Disrupting their Self-Serving Industry Narratives

The Oil and Gas companies like to position themselves as “part of the solution” to solving Climate Change rather than the Problem itself. But recently updated Big Oil Reality Check Report, found that Eight major Oil and Gas companies are involved in over 200 Expansion Projects, on track for Approval from 2022 through 2025, equivalent to the lifetime Emissions of 77 New Coal Power plants.

We wil need Media Presence and Influence to make sure this type of Information gets in front of Policymakers.

Transforming the Political Landscape through Advocacy and Hard-Hitting Research and Analysis

For example, over the summer Two Briefings about Everything Manchin Says About the Mountain Valley Pipeline is Wrong, and Manchin’s Bill Could Wipe Out Climate Gains by Fast-Tracking Fossil Fuels, attracted widespread Media Attention and played a Key role in stopping U.S. Senator Manchin’s (D-WV) Disastrous ‘Permitting Reform’ Bill from consideration, marking a Major Victory for Climate and Environmental Justice Organizers.

Working as a Strong ally to Frontline Environmental Justice Movements Across the Globe

This work has been particularly Crucial over the last year, as the Conflict in Ukraine, continues to Inflame Industry efforts to Expand Oil and Gas production in Africa and the Global South.

Work On-the-Ground allies to identify how we can help: whether that’s Research, Resources, Pressure on Decision Makers, or generating International Attention.

The Relationships Built are at the Center of Work and how to Identify the Fights where we can be most Impactful.

Here is an Organization that could use your help.
