House Committee Calls CEOs Of Gun Manufactuers To Testify

The Highland Park Parade Massacre, is another Tragic reminder that our Country is suffering amidst the Gun Violence epidemic. As Americans were gathering to celebrate our Country, they were Shot at and senselessly Killed. From Uvalde to Buffalo to Highland Park, enough is enough.

Gun Violence should Not be a Normal occurrence. Our Country needs to do better.

On Wednesday, Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-NY, 12th District) and her Colleagues, on the House Oversight Committee, requested:

- Marty Daniel, the CEO of Daniel Defense

- Mark Smith, the President and CEO of Smith & Wesson Brands

- Christopher Killoy, the President and CEO of Sturm, Ruger & Co.

Appear before Congress and Testify, as the Committee Investigate the Making, Sale, and Marketing, of Deadly Weapons used in Mass Shootings, that were purchased Legally, and used by the Gunmen responsible for the Carnage in: Uvalde, TX, Highland Park, IL, and Buffalo, NY.

We cannot sit idly by as these Gun Companies Profit from the Sale and Marketing of Weapons of War to Civilians.

Countless Lives are Lost everyday, and it is time we Investigate the Industry responsible for providing Lethal Weapons to such Individuals.

The Oversight Committee has invited, these Chief Executive Officers to Explain to Congress, and the American People, why they continue to sell Products, to Civilians, that are meant to be used on the Battlefield.

The recent Passing, of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, is an Important step in the Right Direction, but we must continue to Fight for the Banning of Assault Weapons, and Advocate for further Implementation of other Safety Solutions, despite the Gun Industry's aggressive Lobbying attempts to Prevent such Change.
