Election officials in New Hampshire will be using Polaroid cameras to document some voters.
It's part of a voter ID law enacted in 2012. Those showing up without a photo ID will fill out a voter affidavit and then smile for the camera.
New Hampshire Deputy Secretary of State, David Scanlan, says it's an additional check in the process to root out any possible voter fraud.
Members of the Granite State American Civil Liberties Union say they have some concerns.
"We are afraid it is going to have a mug shot effect of those who don't have an acceptable form of ID," said Devon Chaffee, New Hampshire ACLU, Executive Director.
The 2016 race could bring a record turnout and there are more than 300 voting precincts and while voter fraud is rare it's not unheard of.
