Following Hilary Clinton’s campaign committee filing of over 70,000 petition signatures, the Bernie Sanders campaign “announced 85,000 petition signatures were being filed for ballot access in the upcoming New York Presidential Primary on April 19, 2016.
“The enormous number of signatures collected – over 10 times the number required – by an army of thousands of volunteers, and the enthusiastic reception by New York’s Democratic voters, is a testament to the motivating power of Bernie’s progressive message,” said Sanders supporter, Sen. Bill Perkins. “It really speaks to the unstoppable momentum of what is becoming an historic grassroots movement.”
