CA Bill on Disclosure of Tax Returns for Presidential Primary Candidates Advances

Thanks to Richard Winger of Ballot Access News for this post.

On May 25th, the California Senate Appropriations Committee passed SB 149 by 5-2.

It bars Political Party Candidates from the Presidential Primary unless they submit copies of their Income Tax Returns for the last five years.

The Bill also applies to Write-In Candidates, but does not apply to Independent Presidential Candidates.
