Virginia Passes Voting Restrictions

“Pointless.” “Unnecessary barrier to participation.” “Flagrant voter suppression.” Those are just some of the phrases used to describe the New Voting Restrictions that passed the Virginia Senate recently.

SB 872 requires any Voter requesting a Mail-In Ballot to send in a Photocopy of their Identification. Because Members of the military fighting Abroad always have access to a scanner, hint: they don't.

SB 1105 lets Local Election Boards “investigate” when the number of Registered Voters exceeds the Voting Age population, even though it appears this has never been a problem.

SB 1455 Penalizes Non-Profit and Third Party groups that Register Voters.

These laws don’t prevent Voter Fraud.

They prevent Voting.

These Bills must be stopped from ever becoming Law.
